BIOGRAPHY

Early Life

Gisele Medeiros was born in São Paulo, Brazil, the youngest of three daughters in the family. Her mother was a decorated Judoka, the first Brazilian woman to win a Judo championship on the world stage. And her father was also an accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu master. Gisele began training with her mother at the age of 7. By the age of 12, she accidentally broke the wrist of a girl who was four years her elder in a schoolyard fight. To channel their daughter’s aggressions positively, Gisele’s parents trained her to compete in the Olympics Game. But an unfortunate neck injury cut short the family’s aspirations. Shortly afterwards, she stumbled upon the world of catfighting.

Fighting Style

Gisele has a perfect combination of size, strength, and speed. The training she received from her world-class martial artist parents give her a solid foundation in the technical aspects of fighting. Her aggressive attitude and insatiable desire to succeed also drive her to do whatever it takes to win, including any dirty tactics that often pay off well in a catfight. All in all, there isn’t any obvious flaw in her. Her favorite maneuvers include bridging chinlock and facesit pin.

Career in the IWFC

On March 4, 2012, at the age of 22, Gisele Medeiros made her first appearance in the IWFC. She was interviewed by Charlotte Cummings who provoked the young Brazilian into a fight. Gisele shocked the catfighting world by actually defeating the veteran British Hellcat and became the first woman to submit her as a rookie. (See “The Interview”) Two weeks later on March 18, Gisele bulldozed over her fellow rookie fighter Ida Svensson of Denmark and wrenched out a screaming submission from her using a rib-crushing body-scissor. (See “Rookies Faceoff”) Then on August 26, she won another impressive fight against Argentina’s Belén Zenere by grounding her with impeccable grappling techniques and eventually choking her out with a sleeper. Her series of memorable wins led the fans to vote her as the runner-up to the 2012 Hottest Fighter of the Year award (won ultimately by Yvonne Lefébure of France).

On March 3, 2013 Gisele began the new season in a dream matchup against the French fighter Yvonne Lefébure to find out who truly was the hottest woman in the IWFC. To everyone’s surprise, she easily laid waste to her more experienced opponent and won the fight 3 falls to 1. After subduing Yvonne, she forced the French brunette to concede her superior sexual appeal. (See “I’m Hotter”) On June 23 Gisele’s conquests in the IWFC continued as she defeated Australia’s Stephanie Rose in a narrow victory, submitting the veteran Hellcat 3 falls to 2. Kaitlyn Langton, then the leader of the Hellcatz, was more than impressed with the Brazilian. She wanted to recruit Gisele to the Hellcatz, provided she can defeat one of her fighters, Bridget Turner of Ireland. Gisele fought Bridget in a wrestling match on September 1. After easily beating the Irish Hellcat, Gisele continued her torture until Bridget completely surrendered herself. Only then did Gisele reveal her ambition to supplant Kaitlyn as the queen of the Hellcatz and challenged her to a fight. (See “Hostile Takeover”) A month passed without a reply from Kaitlyn. But on September 29, another veteran Hellcat Charlotte Cummings fought Gisele in an impromptu catfight outside the IWFC facility. These two had an old score to settle and Gisele prevailed over Charlotte again, dominating her until the blonde from UK was reduced to tears. (See “I’ll Make You Cry”) At last, Kaitlyn answered Gisele’s challenge on October 27 in the IWFC 2013 season finale. They wrestled in an epic fight that saw Gisele defeating Kaitlyn in the final seconds of the match by choking her unconscious. Then she rudely awakened the queen cat and forced her to relinquish her throne in front of the camera, sending shockwaves through the whole catfighting world. (See “The Alpha Cat”)
